BID ADVERTISEMENT
Sealed bids for the Rabbit Foot Trail, Phase II project will be received by the City of Springdale, Arkansas, in the City Administration Building, 201 Spring St., Springdale, Arkansas 72764, until 2:00 p.m. (local time), September 28th, 2026, and then at said location publicly opened and read aloud.
The major items of work include:
Construction of approximately 2,130 linear feet of concrete bike/pedestrian trail and tie-ins to existing driveway and sidewalk.
Prospective bidders should contact the Engineering Department at (479) 750-8105 or thill@springdalear.gov to request a digital copy of the bid documents.
A pre-bid conference will be held on-site (2711 N. Silent Grove Road, Springdale, AR 72762) at 1:00 p.m. (local time), September 21st, 2026. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference to address questions and familiarize themselves with the project prior to bidding.
Prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the publicly-accessible site to familiarize themselves with the existing conditions and scope of work before submitting a bid.
Each bidder must deposit bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid total, from and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. All bidders must be licensed under the terms of Act 150 of the 1965 Acts of the Arkansas Legislature, including subsequent amendments.
All bids shall be sealed and the envelopes addressed to City of Springdale Engineering Department, 201 Spring Street, Springdale, Arkansas 72764. All bids shall be plainly marked on the outside of the envelope specifying that it is a bid for “Rabbit Foot Trail, Phase II”, the time for opening of bids, and the name of the bidder.
The City of Springdale hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply. The City of Springdale is an EOE M/F.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner.
