ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
City of Fort Smith, Arkansas
Separate sealed bids for Midland Bridge Water Transmission Line Repair, Project No. 23-21-C1, will be received by the City of Fort Smith, Arkansas, at the Office of the Director of Engineering – located at 623 Garrison Avenue, 4th Floor, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901 until 10:00 a.m. (Local Time), Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at which time bids publicly opened and read aloud. Please call (479) 784-2225 for access to 4th Floor at 623 Garrison Avenue. Bids shall be addressed “City of Fort Smith Engineering Department-Utility, 623 Garrison Avenue, 4th Floor, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901” and shall be labeled Bid for Midland Bridge Water Transmission Line Repair, Project No. 23-21-C1. Bidders are to include their Arkansas License number on the outside of their sealed bid. Bids shall only be received from registered Bidders.
The project includes a ball joint replacement on the north end and a fabricated spot repair on the south end of the 30” transmission line, which is suspended from the Midland Bridge.

Copies may be obtained from City of Fort Smith Engineering Department-Utility, (479) 784-2225 with a check or money order upon payment of $100.00 for each set, non-refundable.
The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
All bidders must be licensed under the terms of Act 150 of the 1965 Acts of the Arkansas Legislature, including subsequent amendments, and considered by the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board to be classified as a General Contractor for the classification required to perform the work identified as part of the project.
This publication was paid for by the City of Fort Smith Utility Engineering at the cost of $367.84
The City of Fort Smith encourages participation of small, minority, and woman owned business enterprises in the procurement of goods, services, and construction, either as a general contractor or subcontractor.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
